I really want Sky Go but I can't get it off Google play, it won't work, or Amazon app store or anything? Any links or anything? Pretty miffed I can't currently get Sky Go on my Kindle Fire HD, anyone heard any gossip as to when Sky plan to do it? It already works on the Nexus, no technical reason it can't work on the Kindle.

The Kindle Fire is a mini tablet version of Amazon's popular e-book reader and the second best-selling device of this kind in the world. Released on November 15, 2011 and updated on September 25, 2013, the tablet has a color 7-inch multi-touch display and runs on Fire OS, which is a custom version of Google's Android system. Unfortunately, like Google's official Google Play app marketplace, Amazon have also banned gambling apps from their Amazon Appstore.
The good news is you can still play real money poker on your Amazon Kindle Fire using either of the following 2 options.
A. DOWNLOAD NON-AMAZON APPROVED APPS
Some mobile poker rooms like 888, PKR and Bitcoin only poker sites have released native poker apps that need to be downloaded and installed on your Kindle Fire. Since you won't find any kind of real-money gambling app in the Amazon App Store, you'll need to download them directly from the poker rooms website for following these instructions.

  1. Go to Settings > Device and enable Allow Installation of Applications From Unknown Sources.
  2. Now browse to the Android poker sites like PKR Poker or 888 and you should automatically be prompted to install their native poker app.

B. PLAY POKER ON YOUR AMAZON KINDLE FIRE BROWSER
Fortunately, not every mobile poker app requires you to commit to a download – in fact, many apps are going to load directly from your browser, which means that you can play them on your Kindle Fire without any issues. Keep in mind that most of those apps are based on the HTML5 technology, which means that they work best with the Google Chrome web browser. Consequently, if you experience any problems loading the poker apps provide by the sites listed here, you should definitely consider installing Google Chrome using one of the many online guides. Below, you will find basic information on some of the best Kindle Fire compatible mobile poker sites.

Carbon Poker Mobile (Accepts United States Players) - Set-Up Instructions
Carbon Poker is one of the largest US-facing poker sites with an amazing browser-based mobile client that gives you access to Texas Hold'em ring games, as well as multiple Sit & Go formats, including Double or Nothing and Knockouts. The app supports full ring tables, as well as 6-max and heads-up games and runs perfectly well on both versions of Kindle Fire. New Carbon Poker customers are invited to take advantage of a generous Initial Deposit Bonus of up to $5,000, which is a perfect match on your first payment.
Terminal Poker Mobile - Set-Up Instructions
Terminal Poker is one of the HTML5-based sites when it comes to No Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha multi-table tournaments, but keep in mind that the traffic in cash games can get a little bit low outside the rush hours. The buy-ins for most pre-scheduled events range from €5 to €400, but the site also offers a wide range of exciting freerolls. Both tournaments and ring games perform well on Kindle Fire – in fact, the app performs noticeably better than on most Android smartphones. Terminal Poker offers a €400 Welcome Bonus, which is a 200% match on the first deposit you make or a €20 instant bonus.
mFortune Hold'em Poker - Set-Up Instructions
mFortune is a mobile-only, United Kingdom-based poker site, but don't worry – there's plenty of players to compete against and the software is exceptionally well designed, even by major network standards. The site supports Texas Hold'em cash games in both real money and play money mode and has some of the softest competition in the entire web, which makes it a perfect choice for inexperienced poker enthusiasts looking for a safe place to learn the game. The First Deposit Bonus on mFortune is worth £100 and is a 100% match on your payment, but the site also gives you £5 completely free as soon as you create your account. mFortune also works on iPad, iPhone, Windows Phone/Nokia Lumia and BlackBerry.
